BEL Ghaziabad Recruits 10 Graduate Engineers; MP Police, SBI, RRB Also Announce Major Hiring Drives

Government-sector employers across India are running a spate of recruitment drives in mid-2026, offering thousands of jobs to candidates at every educational level.

Bangalore Electronics Limited (BEL), a Ministry of Defence PSU headquartered in Bengaluru with operational units in Ghaziabad, has invited online applications for 10 Graduate Engineer Trainee positions. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must submit their forms through the official BEL careers portal by September 25, 2026. Shortlisting will be based on academic performance and any relevant experience, followed by an interview or written test round conducted by the company.

Separately, the Madhya Pradesh Police has released a notification for the recruitment of General Duty Constables. The posts carry a monthly salary that can go up to approximately ₹62,000, depending on allowances and Grade Pay. Candidates who have passed the 10th standard from a recognised board are eligible to apply. The MP Police recruitment process typically involves a written examination, physical efficiency test, and document verification.

In the banking sector, the State Bank of India has advertised more than 200 vacancies for the roles of Zone Head and Investment Officer. These are senior-level positions carrying an annual cost-to-company package of up to ₹97 lakh. Eligibility criteria require extensive professional experience in banking, finance, or investment management, along with appropriate academic qualifications.

Meanwhile, the Railway Recruitment Board has announced 3,993 vacancies for Junior Engineer posts across various Zonal Railways. This remains one of the largest railway hiring exercises in recent years. Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in the relevant engineering discipline can apply through the RRB online portal.

With four major recruitment drives active simultaneously, employment exchanges and career counselling centres across India report record footfalls as job seekers prepare applications across multiple portals.
