The Bank of Maharashtra has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 500 Generalist Officers under its Management Trainee cadre. The hiring drive marks one of the largest-scale recruitments by the public sector bank in recent years, reflecting its push to strengthen its workforce amid growing digital banking demands and branch network expansion.
Candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply. The age limit stands at 20 to 30 years as on the reference date fixed by the bank, with standard relaxations applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms. The selection process will involve a preliminary objective-type examination followed by a main written test and a personal interview conducted by the bank.
The recruitment is pan-India in scope, with successful candidates likely to be posted across various zones and circles depending on vacancy distribution and their preferences during counseling. Generalist Officers typically begin their careers with rotational postings in branches, gaining exposure to retail banking, corporate lending, operations, and customer service before moving into specialized roles.
