The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, one of the largest state transport undertakings in India, has initiated its recruitment process for 291 vacant ITI Apprentice posts across the state. The corporation invited candidates to submit their applications through the official online portal before the deadline of November 30, 2025. This recruitment drive is aimed at filling entry-level technical positions that will support the maintenance and operations of the corporation's vast fleet of buses and related infrastructure.
The apprenticeship scheme provides young technical graduates an opportunity to gain practical work experience in a public sector organization while receiving a monthly stipend starting at ₹9,000. The positions are open to candidates who have passed their ITI exams from recognized trade courses relevant to the corporation's requirements. The selected apprentices will undergo on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced technicians and senior engineers within the APSRTC workshop and operational divisions.
The selection process is expected to be based on merit derived from ITI examination results, followed by document verification. Candidates must meet the prescribed age criteria as laid out in the official notification, which typically allows relaxation for reserved category applicants as per state government norms. Interested applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully, including the specific trade requirements, before submitting their applications online.
This recruitment comes at a time when APSRTC has been actively expanding its workforce to meet growing passenger demand and improve service quality across its routes in Andhra Pradesh. The corporation operates thousands of buses serving both urban and rural areas, making this hiring initiative significant for employment generation in the state's transportation sector.
