GURGAON — A woman motorcyclist has lodged a complaint with the local police after a car supposedly tailgated her through the city on Sunday before colliding with her two-wheeler and making a quick exit from the scene.
According to the complainant, she was riding along a busy road when a car began following her closely for some time. The situation escalated when the vehicle suddenly hit her motorcycle, sending her crashing to the ground. The driver of the car did not stop to check on her or exchange details but instead accelerated away from the spot.
Video footage of the alleged hit-and-run circulated on social media over the weekend, showing the moment of impact and the car speeding off without halting. The clip drew widespread attention and outrage from netizens, many of whom called for strict action against the accused.
In a bold move, a friend of the woman who was with her at the time chased after the fleeing vehicle. She managed to pull up alongside the car at a nearby traffic signal and confronted the driver, demanding answers for the collision.
The woman biker has since approached the Gurgaon Police, urging authorities to track down the vehicle and its driver and hold them accountable for the incident. She is seeking a proper investigation and action under relevant sections of the law.
Police have registered a complaint and are working to identify the car based on the footage and other available evidence.
