In one of the largest teaching recruitment drives in recent years, the Uttar Pradesh state government has officially opened applications for a total of 15,012 vacant teacher posts across various school levels in the state. The recruitment notification was released by the relevant education department authorities, and candidates are now eligible to apply starting today through the designated online portal.
According to the recruitment advertisement, the selection process for these positions will not include a personal interview round. Shortlisting and final appointment will be made strictly on the basis of candidates meeting the prescribed educational qualifications, age limits, and merit rankings. This marks a significant shift from earlier recruitment cycles, where written examinations followed by interviews were standard practice.
The notified posts span multiple teaching levels, including positions for primary, upper primary, and secondary school educators. Candidates holding recognized teaching degrees such as B.Ed, D.El.Ed, or equivalent qualifications combined with graduation in relevant subjects will be eligible to apply. The age relaxation criteria follow standard government norms for reserved categories.
Salary information released alongside the notification indicates that successful candidates can expect a monthly compensation ranging up to approximately ₹1,51,000, depending on their educational qualifications, experience, and the specific grade of the post they are appointed to. Additional allowances such as house rent, transport, and medical benefits will apply as per state government rules.
Education experts have noted that filling over fifteen thousand teaching vacancies is a critical step toward addressing the chronic staff shortages that have affected classroom quality in Uttar Pradesh for years. With one of the largest student populations in India, the state has long faced a mismatch between the number of available teachers and the demand for qualified educators at every level.
