NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has formally notified the release of admit cards for the National Defence Academy (NDA) 2026 examination. This is a significant development for thousands of aspirants who have been eagerly awaiting the announcement. The admit cards can now be accessed through the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
Candidates who had registered for the NDA 2026 exam were required to complete an online application process that included paying a prescribed fee. As part of the standard procedure, aspirants needed to enter their registration details such as their application number, date of birth, or other credentials to access and download their respective hall tickets. The admit card serves as an essential document that candidates must carry to the examination centre on the day of the test.
The NDA examination conducted by UPSC serves as the entry point for candidates seeking to join the Indian Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy and Naval Wing. Successful candidates undergo training at the NDA in Khadakwasla near Pune before being commissioned into the Army, Navy, or Air Force wings.
Alongside the NDA admit card, the UPSC has also indicated that hall tickets for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination are likely to follow shortly, as both examinations are typically managed together under the same notification cycle. The CDS 2 admit cards, which are meant for candidates aspiring to enter the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, and other defence establishments, are expected to be released in due course.
UPSC has advised candidates to carefully verify all details printed on their admit cards — including their name, photograph, exam centre allocation, date and time of the examination — and report any discrepancies to the commission immediately. Candidates are also reminded to carry a valid photo identity proof along with the printed admit card when reporting to the examination venue.
The NDA 2026 examination is scheduled to be held soon, and thousands of young aspirants across India are set to appear for the written test followed by the intelligence and personality assessment conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
