The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Group I Civil Services (GIC) Lecturer Mains Examination 2026 on its official website, uppssc.up.nic.in. Candidates who successfully qualified the preliminary screening round can now download their hall tickets and access details about their exam centres, dates, and reporting times.
In a parallel development, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has also made available the admit cards for the HCS Mains Examination 2026 on its portal at hpsc.gov.in. Aspirants who appeared for and cleared theHPSC's preliminary test are now able to fetch their calling letters, which contain the venue, date, and time of the upcoming written examination.
The release of admit cards marks a significant milestone for candidates appearing for these competitive examinations, as it confirms their eligibility to appear for the mains stage. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details printed on their admit cards — including their name, roll number, examination centre, and timing — and report any discrepancies to the respective commission at the earliest.
For the UPPSC GIC Lecturer exam, candidates typically face descriptive-type papers testing their subject expertise and general studies competency. The HPPSC HCS Mains, meanwhile, is a multi-paper examination assessing candidates across general studies, optional subjects, and language papers.
Both commissions have urged candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Electronic devices, including mobile phones, are strictly prohibited inside the exam premises. Candidates are also reminded to reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
With the admit cards now live, tens of thousands of aspirants across Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh are expected to begin their final round of preparation as the examination dates draw near.
