The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (TS BSE) has introduced an online facility for downloading the SSC marks memo, streamlining a process that previously required students or parents to visit board offices or designated centres in person. The move is part of the board's broader push toward digital governance and paperless operations across all its certification services.
The Secondary School Certificate, commonly referred to as SSC, is conducted annually by the TS BSE for students completing Class 10 across the state. The marks memo serves as an official record of the candidate's performance and is often required for admissions to higher secondary courses, scholarship applications, and other academic purposes.
Under the new system, eligible candidates can access their result memo directly through the board's official portal at bse.telangana.gov.in. Students will typically need to enter their hall ticket number or roll number along with other identifying details to retrieve their marks memo. The document can then be downloaded as a PDF and printed for future use.
Board officials stated that the online download facility was introduced to reduce congestion at counters and save time for thousands of students and parents who previously had to stand in long queues to collect physical copies. The digital memo carries the same validity as the earlier physically issued version, as it includes the board's digital seal and verification credentials.
Education analysts have welcomed the initiative, noting that it aligns with theTelangana government's digital India mission and reduces the logistical burden on families, particularly those in rural areas who previously faced travel costs and time losses to collect documents.
The board has also urged students to verify their details carefully once the memo is downloaded and to retain a digital copy for safekeeping. Assistance hotlines and help desks have reportedly been set up at the board's website for candidates encountering any technical difficulties during the download process.
