The Education Recruitment Department (ERD), Government of Punjab, has announced the release of the admit cards for the Punjab Lecturer Cadre Examination 2026. The notification went live on the official ERD website at erd.punjab.gov.in, and candidates registered for the recruitment process can now download their hall tickets.
The Lecturer Cadre recruitment drives are conducted periodically by the state government to fill teaching positions in various undergraduate colleges and senior secondary schools across Punjab. These vacancies are among the most sought-after government employment opportunities in the state, attracting lakhs of applicants each cycle due to the job security, respectable salary structure, and professional recognition associated with the role.
According to the official notification, eligible candidates were required to complete their online registration within the specified timeframe before the closing date. Those who submitted their applications successfully and met the prescribed eligibility criteria — including a master's degree with minimum required marks and qualification in relevant entrance or eligibility tests such as CTET or SET — are now able to access their admit cards.
Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their application number and date of birth or password on the designated download section of the ERD portal. Each admit card contains essential examination details including the candidate's name, photograph, application number, the scheduled exam date, reporting time, venue address, and important instructions to be followed on the day of the test.
The examination authority has advised all candidates to carefully verify every detail printed on their hall tickets well in advance. In case of any discrepancy in personal information, exam center allocation, or subject code, candidates are instructed to contact the helpline numbers published on the official website within the stipulated grievance window. Duplicate or reissued cards, if permitted, will be shared through the same portal only.
Candidates are further reminded to carry a printout of the admit card along with one valid original identity proof — such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport — to the examination center. Entry without a valid admit card and identity verification will not be permitted under any circumstances. The department has also cautioned candidates against bringing prohibited items like mobile phones, smartwatches, or electronic gadgets into the test premises.
