PATTAYA — The city of Pattaya formally commenced its National Youth Day Activities Project for fiscal year 2026 on Monday, September 14th, marking the beginning of a year-long series of programs designed to engage, empower, and develop young people across the region.
The opening ceremony was held at Le Bali Resort & Spa in the Banglamung District of Chonburi Province. Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet presided over the event, underscoring the municipal government's commitment to youth development as a key pillar of local policy. Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawat delivered the official report outlining the scope and objectives of the project, which encompasses a wide range of activities spanning education, sports, vocational training, community service, and cultural engagement.
The mayor's secretary and assistant secretary were also in attendance, along with various local officials and representatives from youth organizations throughout the area. The ceremony included traditional elements customary to Thai governmental events, followed by remarks emphasizing the importance of investing in the younger generation as drivers of social and economic progress.
National Youth Day is observed annually across Thailand, with each municipality adapting its programming to local needs and priorities. In Pattaya, the 2026 fiscal year projects are expected to reach thousands of young residents, with particular focus on skill-building initiatives that prepare participants for employment in one of Thailand's major tourism and service hubs.
