The Madhya Pradesh Government has officially released its 2026 recruitment notification for the position of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Trade Teachers. A total of 1,120 vacant posts have been announced across multiple trades, making it one of the largest teaching recruitments for technical institutes in the state this year.
The notification, issued by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, invites applications from eligible candidates for Trade Teacher posts in diverse engineering and vocational streams. These include departments such as Electrical, Mechanics, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Electronics, Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Electrician, and other allied trades that are currently in demand at ITIs across the state.
Candidates who wish to apply must register themselves on the official portal of the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. The online application window is expected to open in February 2026, with candidates required to submit their forms along with the necessary documents and fee payment through the designated online mode only. Offline applications will not be entertained for this cycle.
The eligibility criteria mandate that applicants possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates must hold an ITI qualification in the corresponding trade and must have cleared the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council examination. In some cases, a minimum percentage of marks or a valid trade certificate is also required. Age relaxation provisions apply for reserved category candidates as per the Madhya Pradesh government rules.
The selection process will likely involve a written examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) or a similar examining authority, followed by document verification. Candidates who qualify the written test will then be called for further rounds as applicable.
This large-scale recruitment drive reflects the state government's push to strengthen technical education infrastructure and address the shortage of qualified instructors in government-run ITIs. With over 300 ITIs operating across Madhya Pradesh, the new appointments will help improve the quality of skill-based training offered to thousands of students enrolled in these institutions every year.
