The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has officially released the admit cards for the State Service Mains Examination 2020 on its website at mpsc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the preliminary stage of the examination can now access and download their hall tickets using their registration details.
The admit card serves as a mandatory entry pass for candidates appearing in the mains examination. It contains essential details such as the candidate's name, photograph, roll number, exam centre allocation, date and time of the examination, and important instructions that candidates are required to follow on the day of the exam.
MPSC has advised all candidates to carefully read the instructions mentioned on the admit card before reporting to the examination centre. Candidates are also reminded to carry a valid photo identity proof along with the admit card to the examination venue. The commission has stressed that only candidates possessing both the original admit card and a valid identity document will be permitted to enter the examination hall.
The Maharashtra State Services examination is one of the most competitive recruitment processes in the state, conducted to select officers for various administrative and managerial positions across state government departments. Thousands of aspirants from across Maharashtra and other states appear for this prestigious examination every year.
Eligible candidates were required to have qualified in the Preliminary examination held earlier to be permitted to sit for the Mains. The Mains examination typically consists of several descriptive papers covering subjects such as General Studies, optional subjects, and an essay paper, testing both breadth of knowledge and analytical writing ability.
MPSC has also reminded candidates to verify all details printed on their admit cards, including personal information and exam centre location. Any discrepancies should be reported to the commission immediately through the official grievance redressal mechanism. Candidates are encouraged to print multiple copies of the admit card to avoid last-minute complications.
