The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the admit cards for the Specialist Officer (SO) Mains examination scheduled for 2026. The notification went live on the IBPS regional portal, allowing all qualified candidates to download their hall tickets at their earliest convenience.
Candidates who cleared the preliminary stage of the IBPS SO recruitment process are eligible to appear for the mains examination. The admit cards contain essential details including the candidate's name, roll number, examination centre allocation, date, and reporting time. Applicants must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof on the day of the examination.
The downloading process requires candidates to enter their application number or roll number and their date of birth on the official IBPS website. Once the admit card is generated, it should be carefully checked for any discrepancies in personal details or exam centre information. Any mismatches must be reported to the concerned regional office immediately.
IBPS has also issued updated exam day guidelines for this cycle. Candidates are advised to reach the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. Only blue or black ballpoint pens are permitted for marking answers in the objective and descriptive sections. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Invigilators reserve the right to deny entry to any candidate who fails to produce a valid identity document or whose photograph does not match the admit card records.
The IBPS SO exam recruits officers for specialist roles across various public and private sector banks in fields such as IT, marketing, agriculture, law, human resources, and accounts. Successful candidates receive government-scale pay and benefits under the banking sector framework. With thousands of applicants competing for limited seats this year, officials have stressed the importance of following all procedural instructions without exception.
