A serious road rage incident in Gurgaon has left a woman biker severely injured and her family demanding justice, as police arrest the primary accused after days of investigation. The incident took place on Golf Course Road, one of the widest and busiest arterial roads in the National Capital Region, where the accused allegedly chased the woman on her motorcycle before deliberately ramming her vehicle.
The injured woman, known as Sia, sustained significant injuries in the collision and has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi. Medical authorities have stated she will undergo X-ray imaging and MRI scans to assess the full extent of internal and bone injuries. Her condition remains under close observation as doctors evaluate whether surgical intervention may be required.
Sia approached the local magistrate and recorded a detailed statement in which she accused Kalyan Bainsla of intentionally targeting her. According to her account, Bainsla's vehicle followed her for some distance before the frontal collision occurred. She described feeling frightened and vulnerable as the other driver appeared to deliberately maneuver his car into her path.
The primary accused was tracked down and arrested by police from Dausa in Rajasthan. Law enforcement officials confirmed that Bainsla had fled the scene after the incident and was picked up during a coordinated operation that traced his movements across state lines.
However, Sia's father has raised pointed questions about the version of events offered by the accused. According to reports, Bainsla claimed he had stopped only because he urgently needed to use a washroom. Sia's father dismissed this explanation as implausible, arguing that if the motive were truly a medical necessity, the driver simply could have pulled over to the side of the road rather than colliding with the biker.
The case has drawn widespread attention in Gurgaon and beyond, reigniting concerns about the safety of women who commute on two-wheelers in India's capital region. Golf Course Road is known for heavy traffic and frequent speed-related incidents, and advocates say this case underscores the risks women face daily while using public roads.
