The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) on Tuesday officially released the admit cards for the Sub-Inspector (SI) Preliminary Examination 2026. A total of 63,342 candidates are set to appear for the much-anticipated recruitment drive, which is scheduled to be held on July 12 across several examination centres throughout the state.
Candidates can download their hall tickets by visiting the official website at psc.cg.gov.in. The commission had earlier announced the examination schedule along with the detailed city-wise centre list, ensuring that aspirants had adequate time to plan their travel and accommodation well in advance.
The Sub-Inspector recruitment under the CGPSC constitutes one of the most sought-after law enforcement positions in the state. The preliminary examination serves as the first screening stage, followed by a main written examination and subsequently a physical efficiency test and document verification process for those who clear each successive round.
The exam will be conducted in objective-type multiple-choice format, covering subjects such as General Studies, General Hindi, and Aptitude. Candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid photo identity proof on the day of the examination. Entry to the exam halls will be permitted only after verification of these documents at the centre.
CGPSC officials have confirmed that the examination will be held under strict security arrangements across all centres. Invigilators will be deployed in adequate numbers, and anti-cheating measures including CCTV surveillance will be in operation. Candidates found with prohibited items or engaged in malpractice will face immediate disqualification and further legal action.
