Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the examination schedule for the 64th Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to the post of Bihar Administrative Service (BAS), Bihar Police Service (BPS), and other state-level posts. The announcement marks a significant milestone for over one lakh candidates who cleared the Preliminary stage earlier this year and are now preparing for the Mains written examination.
According to the official notification issued by the commission, the Mains examination is scheduled to take place over multiple days in the upcoming months. Candidates have been instructed to carefully note their respective exam dates and adhere strictly to the published timetable. Each candidate received an individual admit card containing the specific date, time, and venue details for their papers.
The 64th BPSC Combined Exam cycle began with the Preliminary examination, which saw a massive turnout of aspirants from across Bihar and several other states. After the preliminary results were declared, approximately one lakh candidates qualified for the Mains stage, making it one of the most competitive phases of the selection process.
BPSC Chairperson emphasized that the examination will be conducted in a transparent and secure manner, with arrangements for centralized evaluation across multiple inspection centers. The commission also clarified that candidates appearing in the Mains exam must bring their original admit card along with valid photo identification at the exam center.
This recruitment drive is expected to fill hundreds of vacancies across various administrative, police, and revenue departments in Bihar. The Mains exam typically consists of descriptive-type papers covering subjects such as General Studies, Essay, and optional subjects chosen by candidates during registration.
With the dates now public, coaching institutes across Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, and other cities have begun intensifying their preparation programs. Student groups on social media platforms have been actively sharing strategies and study plans to help candidates maximize their performance in the upcoming examinations.
